self-directed learning meUnfulfilled? Tired of the rat race? Frustrated with the education of your unmotivated offspring? How about a generous helping of self-directed learning to get those creative juices flowing, and get some purpose into your life?

During Bettina Langerfeldt’s family homeschooling adventure, she was challenged to question her own ideas about education by confronting them with the absolute Truth of the Bible.

She discovered that God determined learning to be exciting, life-changing, and passionately joyful. It was designed to be a powerful tool that would enable us to experience a constant flow of increase in every area of our lives.
As her family started to walk in these foundational principles, they discovered how exciting and life-changing learning could be.
Today she has a passion for helping others to get free from their old mind-set, develop their God-given talents, and to fulfill the call of God for their lives.

As a committed Christian I desire to please the Lord in every area of my life. However I am very overweight and feel powerless to change it. I have prayed over and over again with no victory in this area of my life.I am hoping that these techniques can help change my mindset so I can achieve my goal of being self controlled in this area of my life. How can I testify to Gods power to overcome sin in anothers life when I have no victory myself as an example? Please help

I can absolutely identify with you. We all feel frustrated when we are struggling in an area of our life. I also have many areas I still need to improve on. Maybe I can help you with 2 steps that helped me be victorious in areas I’ve struggled in:

1.- I studied the Bible and read every verse that said I was free from any bondage. I complemented it with books written by victorious Christians who taught me the real power we have access to as Christians. You can find great resources at http://www.kcm.org Kenneth Copeland had a great struggle with overweight, but he overcame. Another great resource you can download for free right now, and that has helped me immensely in the area of controlling my flesh is here:

2.- Don’t ever allow the devil to condemn you. He is the one who wants you to feel defeated, because he knows how dangerous you will be once you realize that you are not. There is no place in the Word of God where it says that God condemns us, on the contrary, Jesus explicitly states that He did NOT come to condemn the world (John 3:17). Start seeing yourself how God sees you: as an overcomer, a winner, a son of the Living God. To Him you are precious, fashioned for greatness, endued with power to overcome any situation. You might look into the mirror and not like what you see, but tell that image: “You are an overcomer, a child of God, part of the winning team.” God does not understand the language of defeat. He and His children are winners. Period. No matter what circumstances say.
