self-directed learning success“I will joy in the God of my salvation, the Lord is my strength, He will make my feet like deer’s feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills” Habakkuk 3:18,19

People long to be appreciated. They also want to be confident and successful. But many of them can’t make it happen. Simply because they don’t believe in themselves.

Self esteem is an elusive thing. It seems the more you desire to have it, the less you’re able to get of it.

As long as self esteem is pursued in light of your own efforts, it will never come. You will be surprised to find that self esteem is a word that does not figure in the Bible. Because everything you will try to achieve by your “self” cannot bear long lasting fruit.

Once you stop trying to exalt yourself and decide to surrender to the God who created you and truly loves you, you will find your true worthiness in Him.

In God’s eyes every effort we can make to exalt ourselves looks pretty pitiful, but at the same time He is able and willing to lead us to high places we never dreamed we could reach,–if we learn the lesson of humbleness.

It is by glorifying Him and what He has done that true worthiness is manifested. You will not feel worthy because of what you can achieve, but because of what He can do through you.
