Setting Priorities the Biblical Way: How Big is Your Pond? Part IV
Let us take a stand for what we believe in, and step up to the place where God intended us to be.
Let us be brutally honest with ourselves, and assess where we are at, find out where we’ve missed it, and make the necessary changes to develop our God-given talents.
Let us de-clutter our life from unnecessary things, and ask God for wisdom to peal away all the damaging influences that we have allowed to invade our life.
The Bible tells us to “enlarge the place of our tent, and to stretch out the curtains of our dwellings. Do not spare. Lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.” (Isaiah 54:2).
I would add: “Get out of the aquarium and go find yourself a big pond, - make that a lake.”
Believe God for the wisdom and for the means to further your education. After all, it is He who designed the plan for your life. He will also open the doors for whatever you need to walk in it. He will put the right people in your path, and provide you with good mentors who will lend you a hand in your learning process.
It will take a lot of work and effort. Making changes forces us to leave our comfort zone. That is why most people simply never do it. More than once you will be tempted to go back to your old lifestyle.
Don’t relent. You are probably on the verge of a breakthrough, and the devil is doing his utmost to hold you back. Don’t be like the Israelites. God took them out
Refuse to be limited. It should be impossible for anybody to convince you that you are not blessed. God is with you, and that is the best success formula that has ever existed.
